i've been missing camp too much i neglected to tell about school. haha. well just so you know, IB's kicking my ass. especially chemistry. haha.
and guess what i'm down with the flu. man that sucks.
oh well. it's late. i'm gonna indulge myself with camp pics and vids for the millionth time. ;D

Here in this diary,
I write you visions of my summer.
It was the best I ever had.
There were choruses and sing-alongs,
and that unspoken feeling
of knowing that right now is all that matters.
All the nights we stayed up talking
listening to 80's songs;
and quoting lines from all those movies that we love.
It still brings a smile to my face.
I guess when it comes down to it...

in this diary - the ataris
i just realised that i havent actually wrote about my summer in a good, organised chronological order. the last post was just me babbling about how miserably campsick i am. haha. i feel like doing that. sharing with everyone my unforgetable journey to the states!
so we departed from jakarta at about 8 am, went straight to hongkong. in which our flight was delayed for 2 hours courtsey to the typhoon blowing overhead. haha. we got free food tho so it's not that bad. ;) so the flight to LA took us around 12 hours. i hate hate hate long flights. coz then all my body aches and my legs was all cramped. but the movies was cool tho! i watched
definately, maybe, starring
ryan reynolds and abigail breslin which was SOOOO FREAKIN' COOL!! it's such a cute cute movie! an awesome love story... it's a must-watch really.
LOS ANGELESaaaaand... we arrived in LA in the afternoon, yeah! we had to wait for thomas for some extra immigration check thingy. which left us four kids stranded in the airport. it really took him so long, the baggage carousel area was like stranded. even the immigration people had left! haha.
soooo we went straight to the hotel right after that. rested for a while, showered, unpack etc etc. then at night, around 9PM, where
places to eat were closing up, we ate at KFC, since that's the only nearby place open. so we ate. took pictures. haha yeah. we were so jetlagged, we didn't sleep until 1.30AM and played cards haha.
and the next day was
DISNEYLAND! yay yay yay!! thomas's friend and his niece & nephews came along with us. it was sooo much fun. our narcissistic self came out in disneyland! we took pictures absolutely everywhere!! haha. the
hollywood tower of terror was soooo cool! i bought the picture and it was just hilarious!! esp. marco. man did he look hilarious. we spent the whole day there. we actually wanted to stay until late at night. but it was so tiring, so we decided to just go back to the hotel at around 4PM and rest, then go back to disneyland at about 6 or 7.
BUT, our body has another plan. we slept until like, 8.30PM!! gaaarhh. we gotta say goodbye to disneyland coz everyone was just sooo freakin' tired. ahaha. gaby, thomas and i went to eat at this mexican fast food place thingy which was so good, way better than KFC :9 but the boys, being such kebo, slept all the way through. haha. they missed all the good food! ;D
the next day we went to
DISNEYLAND again! haha that's right people, we got a 2-DAYS PARK HOPPER PASS!! but we missed the morning bus and had to go get the afternoon bus :( and by the time we got there it was jammed packed with people. yes, tourists and screaming kids everywhere! it was crazy. we stood in line for rides for hours and hours. we couldnt even find a seat for lunch! garh. the fireworks was amaaaaaaziing!! it was soooo freakin' cool!! aaargh. but i really regret not riding the indiana jones ride. it'll takes us 2 hours to queue for the ride and we were just too tired for it, really! oh, well. we still have
UNIVERSAL STUDIOS for tomorrow!!
yup, you guessed it people, the next day was universal studios. which i kinda like better than disneyland. problly because it's not as packed with screaming kids. and the simpsons ride was sooo cool!! and the mummy rollercoaster was really thrilling! jurassic park ride was WET WET WET! but it was fuuuunn!!
went to the studio tour, which was soooo cool!! love it love it love it!! and yet again in universal we took pictures nearly all the time! haha. the shrek 4D was cool too, but i've went there before, back in aussie. haha. after that was the LA city tour, we just went along the downtown for a while. in front of the kodak theatre. we saw these street performers, breakdancers, they were really cool.
ooh, gaby and i got seperated from adi, thomas and marco! we were pretty panicked at the time! coz it's almost nightfall and i don't even wanna start thinking about being in downtown LA at night just us two! so we went to the bus and waited for them there. i guess we were tired from universal, so i slept for the rest of the tour. which was pretty boring coz we only get to see things from the bus. :(
oh well, the next day, marco's mom, his sister and uncle took us to the
california science centre (which was pretty cool. science centres are always interesting! haha) and downtown LA again. i shopped for a bit at forever21. regretted not going to H&M!! coz they were having a sale and they have cute stuffs there!!! :(( we didnt stay for too long. only around 2 hours or so. then we went to
rodeo drive! just to take pictures tho! not shopping haha. coz it was all branded stuffs and it was closed anyways. haha. we went all norak and narsis in front of the stores! hahaha.
after rodeo drive, we had dinner at noodle planet. and guess what, next to the restaurant was full of shops! there was this reaaally cool accessories store! bought
red wayfarer sunglasses there! yaaays!! and me and gaby found an
everything-four-bucks shop! we went absolutely crazy there!! it's full of cute stuff just hanging on the shelves! gaaarh. bout some shirts, a skirt, toques and more more more!! it was reaaally fun!!
OHIOso we arrived in ohio on the 28th of june in the evening. got delayed in chicago because of this stupid storm. which left us airborne for half an hour just circling around the damn city. :( we had to run all the way to the other gate, which was far far away for our next flight to dayton. and we got held up by the line of airplanes waiting for takeoff, coz the airport's activity was shut down for a bit bcoz of the storm. gaaarh. it was agonizing!
we arrived safely in dayton though. our host fams welcomed us! they were really friendly, my host fam was
beth hanes. her son luke was there too. our host fam was the best!! they were really nice to us, beth took us to meet her neighbors and have pizza at her place. her friend amy was also hosting kids from china! so we get to meet them in advance. which was sooo much fun!
beth then took me and gaby (thomas had to leave first for camp and marco and adi's host fam was in troy, we were in piqua) shopping to the mall! yaaays. i was sooo thrilled to find a CD store! i bought 4 CDs!! bought
all time low, metro station, kate voegele and last but not least...
HELLOGOODBYE! I'VE BEEN SCOURING EVERYWHERE TO FIND THAT CD AND I FINALLY FINALLY FOUND IT!! AND IT'S THE DELUXE EDITION WITH BONUS DEMO TRACKS AND A LIVE CONCERT DVD !!! man am i relieved!! i don't really care about the price tag, really coz i finally finally got it after a yearlong looking for it. gaarh. too bad the maine's Can't Stop Won't Stop wasn't out yet. but i got it anyways, and that was another story haha.
oh, i forgot, our bagagge was
left in chicago! so we didn't get it until the next day. and mine was like missing, they didn't know where it was! i was panicked, really. everything is there! but then they found it anyways. but because of that i had to leave the mall early haha. oh well. after that our host fam had a picnic and they invited their neighbours and adi's host fam too. it was really fun. we played soccer and pingpong. it was exhausting! and i finally got my luggage back! yays. they really loved the gift we gave them. really, it was relieving, it's really nice to make other people happy and loving our culture (we gave them a patung asmat, special handicraft mug coaster, a batik and cashews haha).
the next day, the day before entering camp, we went to another mall, in another town tho, in dayton. first stop was BORDERS. where i finally bought sarah dessen's
lock and key! and guess what, it was a signed copy! yeaaaah! boy, am i lucky! i bought someone like you as well. then in the mall, we met the
danish and italian delegation! yeaays. well we shopped for so much and my feet were blistering haha.
OFF TO THE CAMP!right in the afternoon, we left for camp. before that we went to cold stone and eat a huge amount of ice cream! man, do i love cold stone! i forgot what i had, but i added gummi bear and graham crackers in it and it was marvelous!! i was totally bloated. haha. we had kiitos in the parking lot, but turns out only me, gaby, luke and beth knows the word to it! hahaha.
well entering the camp was extremely thrilling. we can't wait to meet the amazing peopleee!! and really, i can't describe how the camp went all in this post, it'll be too tiring. and as i said, the camp was indescribably fun! and i will never forget the second day, where we were all gathered in the hallway in front of the caf, singing and laughing!! it was a day where we first mingled and get to know each other really well... i'll ever ever forget that. it was the best hour of my life, really. :)

well that's my summer guys. it's the best one i've ever had. and i swear i feel like crying everytime i hear the song wonderwall. it reminds me of camp. coz it's our camp sooong. :)

i can't even begin to describe summer camp. it's just so unbelievably amazing. i met a whole lot of awesome people from different corners of the world. it's just soooo amazing.
i'm missing every single little thing about camp. especially the people in it! it's just unforgettable! now nearly small things remind me of something at camp and i feel like i'm gonna burst out crying.
i miss
harald and johannes everytime i hear a baby talk! i cried on the plane because of it, just so you two know. and you two have no future in learning indonesian. haha kidding! well i really miss
juanfe's hilarious laughter! it's so empty not hearing him laugh and/or scream! haha. and
SEBASTIAN, god i really dont know what to do without him! hahahah.
fiona, fra, gaby, emma, vrindy and anna! my girls! love you all soooo much!

man, i can't possibly list everyone here. it's just too much to say! haha. well anyways, i had an
AMAZING summer. it was the time of my life. i really love the fact that we, youth from different parts of the world come together for one mission. peace. that's what we all hope for, right? peace. and like what i said on the last night, we are our own hopes. it is up to us to achieve peace. we've started something at the camp, started to light our spirit to achieve peace, it won't be fair to stop that spirit once we leave the camp...
soooo yeah. i think that's all i have to say. there's actually a whole lot more but i just can't find a way to say it. not in the time that i have though. ;p
anyways, to my fellow campers, good luck out there! and know that i'll never ever forget you! loveee yooooouu!! <3333
