it's nandra. they also call her nashz, the history of such name is way too long to elaborate in this little space. she's seventeen. she's a she. she lives a typical metropolitan lifestyle in the capital of Indonesia. she's currently in her senior year of high school, enduring the second and last year of IB Diploma Programme that's totally ruining her life slowly. but she thinks the whole suffering would give her some sort of advantage in the (scarily) near future. she's a CISVer and lovin' every bit of it. oh, she also very much enjoys mango juice, she'd even prefer it than OJ haha. and while we're at it, yes, she might be random from time to time. she wishes you'd be quite patient about it. :)

Every 5 minutes, one Indonesian child dropped out of school...
And today... For 5 minutes, one kid did not drop out of school...
Today... I helped one High School Student to pay their montly school fee...

WHY, you ask?

Because I bought a Rp. 65.000 worth of T-Shirt from Sampoerna Foundation. It's not like i'm promoting this foundation or anything, but that T-Shirt just saved a high school kid from dropping out of school this month.

Kemaren gw nulis tentang lifestyle gw yg glamorous. And I'm reflecting and... Damn, hidup gw udh masuk kategori SUPER GLAMOROUS di Indonesia ini. Uang sekolah murid SMA untuk satu bulan sama dengan uang jajan gw selama satu minggu. Dan kalo gw jalan nih, ke mal ato kmana, gw bisa bayarin anak SMA sekolah buat empat bulan. Wow. Unbelieveable.

Selama ini gw ga gitu nyadar. All I know is that they can't go to school because of lack of fund. fund= Rp. 50.000 for 1 high school kid/month. Dan itu bisa gw dapetin dari minta ke nyokap. Omigod. I'm in shock. Total shock.

Gw ga tau lagi mau ngomong apa. Just one thing, HELP THEM, if you can. relain ga beli chocolate cream frappucino nya starbucks kalo lagi jalan. cos satu frappucino itu bisa ngebayarin anak SD sekolah satu bulan.

haha. and dat was Glamorous by Fergie ladies and gents. eniweeeiiss. I'm inspired by this song tiba2 pas tadi di jalan. setelah gw pikir2, hidup gw itu 'glamorous'. i live a 'glamorous' lifestyle in jakarta, the so-called metoropolitan city.

Right, Ok, I don't wear Dior, Louis Vuitton or Chanel or watever. I'm not the daughter of the president or minister. I don't have a record deal. I'm definitely not socialite. Tapi buat sebagian besar orang Jakarta, yg hidup dalam kemiskinan... Yea... I do live a glamorous life.

Kmana2 pake mobil. Tinggal di apartemen. Sementara ada yg tinggal di grobak! Sekolah di sekolah nasional plus yg biayanya sampe puluhan juta setaun. sementara ada banyak orang yg ga bisa bayar SPP bulanan yg jumlahnya mungkin sama uang jajan gw sebulan ato bahkan kurang.

However, gw sering lupakalo gw seberuntung itu.. I still want MORE. gw pengen CD baru, HP baru, pergi ke luar negri, SEKOLAH di luar negri... masih banyak deh list nya...

Sooo, yea... I may not be the cherry on top of the society. but i'm the whipped cream below the cherry. =9

NANDRA'S STRUGGLES IN 'EDITING' HER ESSAY

rite.. i know it's late but i just feel like writing sumthin. sooo. the story goes. tadi di skolah gw buka blog gw. then i saw the countdown clock i posted on the first page. it startled me... becoz. OMISHIT, BNTAR LAGI GW UAN?? LAHH KOK LO SEKARANG MASIH MALES2AN??!! WTF??!! NANDRA TOBATLAH NANDRAAA!!

huhh. aduh gimana yaaa.. yea so i thik i hav a problem with time management. or so my mom told me ages ago.

jadiii tadi gw mau meng'edit' essay english gw. krn guru gw bilang i didn't really acknowledge some resources which is WRONG :( . so then gw buka komputer. gw nyalain komputer. buka internet. sign in msn. buka document. and i start writing away. nahh. lalu ericka convo di msn. ahhh tidak.. gw tu suka ga enak kalo ada org chat di msn gw diemin. aahha. jadi chat2 dulu lah bentar. tukeran lagu. trus bikin lagi. then somehow i was tempted to open MYSPACE. browsing artis2 indie kren gituuw. laluuuu. chat lagi sama jo. trus david. trus clarissa. GITU AJA TERUS SAMPE BESOK!! kapan selesainya naaan. astagfirullah!!

trus gw LAPER. gw makan coklat dulu deh. gw nonton ma nykp smbil makan coklat. GOD, i love that merci chocolate. dad shud go to sing or kl more often. to get me sum choco. ahahah.

eniweis. i continued with my essay.
nah while i was doing my essay, gw iseng2 gtu deh buka msn. trus mulai chat ma sally, tmen cisv yg cman pernah skali ktemu pas proto. ohoho. ehem... we chatted about GC, joel madden, the fact that i couldn't go there bcos of the freaking exam and such. then she asked me if she knew my friend *name cencored*. trus minta dikenalin gitu deh. (yea. gw bingung knp tmen gw yg satu itu bisa punya fans. i mean, COME ON!! piss *name cencored*) trus kita ngobrol ber-3. however we hardly say anything. then i ate.

trus balik ke essay. tanya sana-sini tentang arti ini-itu (doesn't dat sound sooo good in ur ears?). akhirnya selesai jam 8.30!! PADAHAL GW MULAI JAM 4.30 . FUCK!! IT TOOK ME 4 HOURS TO 'EDIT' AN ESSAY. okay, 3 hours minus dinner and choco time. BUT!! AARRH. shud've done this yesterday or the day before dat. huh. regrets. regrets.

BENERAN , YAH!! internet di binus tu LAMA BGT. gw mau buka photobucket aja lama bgt. GOD!! yea. so i'm at school. doing.... absolutely nothing. waiting for my brother..baru selesai bimbel. tapi tadi gak serius gitu blajarnya.. udah telat, ga serius lagi.. apa ga gondok ya tu guru gw. well, she doesn't seem so pissed. ahah. at least i finished 10 problems. ;p

errh. something is totally wrong with this internet.. so here i am. trying to browse for some cool pics on photobucket. HOWEVER, that doesn't seem to be working so well. cos the INTERNET doesn't SEEM TO BE WORKING SO WELL. well, yea you can probably call me a net chic or watever. and YES, i do spend a lot of time in front of the computer. whether it is doing HOMEWORK, chatting, browsing the net, writing this entry and so on. i just don't know what to do without the existance of such compelling technology. :p not to mention the internet too. WHICH TOTALLY SUCK IN BINUS!!

Gak kerasa.. i kept this blog for quite a long time.. By May 29th blog ini berumur 1 tahun. And I'm really proud of it. ahahah. Coz I've never kept a blog that long.. Dari gw year 8 sampe skarang udah mau UAN. It just feels good to keep something and 'nurture' it. Blog ini pengganti diary gw. Walaupun there's nothing private that I use to keep in my diaries. This blog is basically a place for me to write. I know I like writing, I know I can write. Or so my mom told me.

Sooo.. Even tho ga banyak yg baca blog gw.. Hey, I don't really care. As long as it's here. And I'm writing it. =]

I don't really know what to write right now.. tee hee. gw jg ga tau nyalain komputer mau ngapain. Udah ah.. ga baik di depan layar terus.. Nanti rusak mata gw..
